100% Workplace

With more and more people working from home as well as companies investing in their workspace to allow their workforce to enjoy coming into the offie, we take a look at some of the best workplace exhibitors at this years 100% Design.

Haworth Openest feather

We really like the Openest6 range by Studio Urquiola for Haworth. The range comprises of a curved sofa, stool and table set. All with a distinctive flowing shape and a neutral palette.

Mark product

Mark Product have always been a firm favourite of ours with their stackable, brightly coloured stools and 3 legged chairs. The wide range of standard options coupled with the company’s willingness to work on bespoke solutions has made them a popular choice amongst architects and designers.

sagal group

We are big fans of the Sagal Groups gorgeous and simple furniture range- we would have this in our house let alone our office.  The cylindrical base that has been copied across the Pod range is a particular design favourite with us and marks the range out as a one that will become iconic.

The Dove and Renown range from Triumph is simple and timeless- with an obvious Scandi influence that we really like.

A collaboration between Coalesse and Michael Young, the LessThanFive Chair supports a variety of users while weighing less than 5 pounds, thanks to its carbon fibre design.

Form Us With Love- We love!

We first really started realising how important Form Us With Love  with were when they paired with SBSeating to do the amazing Noor chairs. We were a bit late to the game as they have been around for 10 years…..

form us with love

They founded BAUX, another part of their company, in 2014 – some of the most beautiful acoustic paneling we have ever seen- NOT a sentence we thought we would ever say. They are stunning pieces of design that could be a work of art in their own right.

The above Noor chairs were part of a range produced for SBSeating. They come in a range of strong and natural shades that would complement any interior.

form us with love

Form Us With Love are mainstream too. They were approached by IKEA to create a durable and affordable multi-purpose chair—easy to fall in love with and quick to maintain—and we love the Janinge solution they came up with! Stackable, cheap and good looking- what’s not to like?

They have also collaborated with HEM with a wide range of furniture, lighting and accessories. We particularly like this Levels lamp above.

Oblivion partition wall system designed by Koray Malhan for Koleksiyon

Microsoft Word - Koleksiyon_2015collection_June2015_REV02.docx

Oblivion is a versatile office partition wall system conceived by Koray Malhan, Director of Design and Brand at Koleksiyon, to create large voids in private or communal areas alongside work zones or meeting points. The voids purposefully disrupt the monotonous nature of workspaces and are designed to be connected according to the customer’s individual needs. Every user plays a part in the design process by freely adjusting the dimensions, height, interior and surfaces.

Koray Malhan said, “Oblivion can be tailored to fit every project and function – the base and tip define the diameter of the cone-shaped void and within the structure shelves, desks, cabinets, seats and much more can be configured.”

The design is available in the UK from the flagship Clerkenwell showroom in a range of colours and fabric options.

Shkatulka desk accessory set by Lesha Galkin

Russian designer Lesha Galkin created the set of Shkatulka desk accessories as part of the IBZA project. Popular ancient Russian ‘secret’ caskets for storing valuable items provided inspiration for the marble and wood range. The Shkatulka storage kit has a secret too – the various modules can be rearranged to suit your functional needs. Continue Reading…

Styling: Alcoves

Styling inspiration: where space is in short supply turn the smallest space into a super stylish work area with minimal effort. Have you thought about using an alcove? It may seem small, but this desk works well framed within the recess. A grey painted wall matches the furniture and floor and the look is finished with a green pendant light. Are you lucky enough to be off with the children this week? If you are, this is a feasible half term job. Top tip, keep clutter free to maximise productivity.

Spincil by Ortie Design

The average person spends up to 8 hours at the desk. Objects of play for the office are used to alleviate stress and at times the monotony of the working day. The 2B graphite Spincil by Ortie Design transports you on a nostalgic trip back to your childhood. The shorter it becomes the faster it spins until it transforms into the office toy.
