Morten & Jonas’s Treet table has a top made of three trays

Another brand satisfying our appetite for Scandinavian design is Norwegian design duo Morten & Jonas. This striking lounge table, coined Treet has a multifunctional tabletop that consists of three trays made of solid oak that have been either colour stained or smoked. The green-coated metal frame holds the trays in place, creating a fragmented and modern tabletop.

Milan 2015: COS x Snarkitecture installation at Salone del Mobile 2015

COS returned to Salone Del Mobile 2015 as part of a collaboration with Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen NYC based studio Snarkitecture. The duo designed a specially commissioned installation inspired by the technical lightness and luminescence of the COS Spring Summer 15’ collection.

Arsham and Mustonen transformed Spazio Erbe into an immersive translucent cave. The installation featured thousands of strips of layered white fabric hung from the ceiling to the floor.

Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of Snarkitecture say, “After meeting with Karin and Martin and looking at the new COS collection, we knew we wanted to create a revelatory experience that played with shifting views and translucency through the use of luminous material. What we came up with is an immersive environment that draws on the familiar qualities of fabric and the primal nature of caverns to create a world of reflection, exploration and interaction.”

Karin Gustafsson, Head of Womenswear Design, says “We feel their simplistic yet modern concept reflects the COS ethos and design philosophy.”
