CDW Showrooms- top picks

On Friday we covered CDW’s famed exhibitions. Now we look at a few of the showrooms. There are over 90 so we would never get round them all, but this might give you a little bit of a point in the right direction.

Not residents in Ec1, renowned British brands, Anglepoise® and Paul Smith will announce a new collaboration, to be showcased in a pop-up design studio at Albion Clerkenwell. The installation will be presented alongside new Anglepoise® lighting collections hot from Milan; also new café furniture from Ercol.

Merely by being Swedish, Bolon are already sexier than most other flooring brands. Hell, most other brands as a whole. Add to that there amazing fashion brand collaborations and you have a design name that you need to stop by and see. . Design is carried out in-house, and the company invests significantly more in creativity than the more traditional companies in the sector.

Acknowledged as a leader in its field, this year Havwoods’ beautiful Great Sutton Street showroom will feature an installed floor of HW88106 Shanklin from their unique Hand Grade collection, sublime pre-finished engineered range comprising of enormous planks up to 4m long, almost 1/2m wide. Specially installed for CDW, this will be the first opportunity to see this pioneering product in situ in Britain. Nice.

Modus is an award-winning British brand who design and produce intelligent, functional and inspiring contemporary furniture. They are known for collaborating with a roster of renowned designers and we can’t wait to see who they have worked with this CDW.

Another Nordic design brand, this time from norway (meaning they are already ahead in the style stakes). CDW17 will see the launch of the RBM X FEATHR collaboration project. Bringing together Nordic seating brand RBM and Finnish wallpaper and fabric house FEATHR, the collaboration will marry the modern classic RBM Noor chair range with FEATHR’s vibrant artist-designed fabrics. Blimey, we really are spanning Northern Europe with our picks here. Space and Icons is a unique event and co-working space based in the heart of Clerkenwell. As part of Icons of Denmark, curators of Danish design, Space and Icons offer some seriously lovely meeting spaces. Furnished with the best of Danish design, the venue offers an inspiring setting for any meeting or event.
