Lane bring the cushions

Despoke favourite, interiors brand Lane, launches its first range of Twin Tone Cushions. The luxury cushion comes in four colourways with a contrasting colour on each side. They are made with 100% wool in tweed from Bute Fabrics, one of Britain’s most respected upholstery manufacturers from the beautiful Isle of Bute, Scotland. It follows on from Lane’s successful Twin Tone Lampshade range, which we have previously featured on the blog.

Each cushion is a mix of acid bright tones and muted, traditional hues and retails at £65.

• ‘Ionian Sea Blue’ and ‘Mustard Yellow’
• ‘Charcoal’ and ‘Rosie Pink’
• ‘Forest’ and ‘Acid Pea Green’
• ‘Seville Orange’ and ‘Mallard Blue’

Depending on which side you choose, it can fit discreetly into your room with a hint of vibrancy, or add a bold splash of colour. With one dual-sided cushion you can create different colour combinations – turn it over to instantly refresh your look. If you look closely, the tweed is a ‘warp and weft’ weave of yarn using up to six shades. This and the ‘tonal nep’ fabric – small knots of entangled fibre – create a subtle and sophisticated flecked colour.
