Where do you live?

Streatham.

 

How would you describe your home?

A collection of useful and useless old things.

 

Do you collect anything?

Unnecessary things that have had a previous life.

 

Where do you like to shop?

Wimbledon car boot sale.

 

What was the last item you purchased for your home?

Plates and bowls from a French flea market.

 

What would you like to buy for your home?

A housekeeper, a butler and two more wood burning stoves.

 

What would we never see you without?

Clothes.

 

What is your favourite song?

Isley Brothers- Harvest for the World

 

Who are your favourite designers?

Enzo Mari and Buckminster Fuller.

 

What are you reading?

Raising Boys by Steve Biddulph

 

Who is you favourite artist?

Thomas Hirschhorn.

 

Where would you like to visit?

Japan

 

Which restaurant do you recommend?

My favourite is Mildred’s vegetarian restaurant in Soho. Consistently great, they never let you down. I would like to go with Zaha Hadid.

 

What is the best piece of advice you have received?

An architect suggested I scale up my work

 

Who is the most inspirational person you have met?

Eduardo Paolozzi.

    I had the privilege of meeting Lubna once and being allowed into her wonderful studio, a gentle world of the most beautiful colours. We share a passion for interesting finds and combinations but I wish I was even half as talented as she. Her work is lovely.
