3D Home factory at 100% Design

100% Design has teamed up with iMakr and Talenthouse to run a competition to get designers to produce designs for 3D objects for the home or workplace.

The five winning designs have now been selected, which will be 3D printed and shown at 100% Design in the 3D Home Factory feature and exhibited at the iMakr store in London.

The winner of the public vote (top image) will also get their design printed and displayed at 100% Design. One overall winner – yet to be announced – will also win a 3D printer.

3D printing is looking to become the next big movement in design. The technology is rapidly becoming cheaper and more accessible, meaning that soon a people with little or no specialist design training will be able to design and create pieces of furniture and accessories for the home or workplace.

The 3D Home Factory at 100% Design will be showcasing how this technology could revolutionise our homes and the way we live.
