Fiction Chair by Nonfiction Creative

Nonfiction Creative is a young design practice specializing in furniture design that was set up by Alyssa Coletti in 2010.

The Fiction lounge chair is the product of years of hard work from the designer who has previously worked with Bernhardt Design.

The designer, who enrolled in woodworking classes after being told it would be too expensive to prototype using professional woodworkers, has made the Fiction chair from scratch.

The chair features sculpted walnut arms and a blackened steel base. The white leather seat is tied together with a moulded plywood shell, which uses skateboard deck veneer and walnut veneer vacuum-formed into the required shape.

Coletti hopes to get a manufacturing partner on board to get the Fiction Chair into production.
